The toddlers love watching Frozen dance tutorials and other streaming videos on a big screen. Mommy loves everyone gathering in the livingroom for church instead of over her Windows at the breakfast table. Once, I had to shut everything down and restart to get the mirroring back up, but it’s not been an issue. Occaisonally the screen will buffer for a moment, but it doesn’t happen often and usually resolves quickly on its own. The 1-3 seconds lag time does not interfere with our participating in worship services. This is a great little app that allows me to mirror my Windows to my Roku TV with the click of a button. After upgrading our livingroom TV to a Roku TV, I wanted an easy, wireless way to watch Facebook Live on the TV. Since the pandemic started, we have attended church remotely by watching Facebook Live services on my Windows. I tried to get a refund by contacting them but they told me I have to do it through Microsoft, I tried through Microsoft and Microsoft told me I have to do it through the App company. But now I’m writing this 2 star review which of course hurts this apps chance of being purchased. These problems I could have easily avoided if the trial version was longer and I had more time to look into this stuff. The company recently launched the app, which is what brought it to our attention, but it also has offerings that can be used for streaming to a Mac (more on this in a minute) or a number of set-top boxes or smart TVs. Second, I tried to play a movie that I bought off of iTunes and it wouldn’t play and gave me this message: “This movie can be played only on displays that support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).” No way around that really other than using a cable I guess. Welcome to AirBeamTV’s Mirror to Windows PC. And I’d hate to miss a touchdown pass because of that. That’s not going to be ideal for good movie watching. I noticed that the picture on the TV would often have little skips. But within 30 minutes of testing out a bunch of different media that I’d be using I found many problems.įirst, the video quality worsens from the computer to the TV. At first it seemed like this would be a really easy solution. I just want to be able to stream sports games and movies from my Pc onto my insignia TV. Bought this app because I didn’t want to have to go through the hassle of finding and purchasing a cord for my PC as they’re usually overpriced imo.
